Compressing images does not need a server. Modern browsers can decode images and run compression code on your own computer. This is how the Xargaar Image Compressor works, and it is why it can run with no network at all.
The hosted page loads local codec files when you first use a format. Loading only the page does not guarantee offline use; browser caching can also be cleared. The separate offline pack includes the assets for reliable offline operation. You can also watch the network tab in your browser's developer tools while you compress.
The free page works the same way but handles 25 images at a time. The pack is a folder with the same tool and no limit. Unzip it, open index.html, and keep it for as long as you like. The pack is in preparation, not yet for sale.
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC in; JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF out. Animated images are not supported. Metadata and embedded colour profiles are removed.
The free Image Compressor handles 25 images at a time, with no signup and no upload.
