The seating chart, without the sticky notes.
Import the guest list, set your tables, drag guests into seats or let auto-seat place everyone with keep-together and keep-apart rules. Then print the chart, the table cards and the place cards. Everything happens in your browser, so the guest list never leaves your computer.
1. Your guest list
One guest per line: Name, Party, Dietary. Only the name is required. A header row is detected automatically. A party is a family, a friend group, a table-mate group - guests in the same party are seated together when a table fits them.
2. Tables
3. Keep-apart rules
Guests in the same party are kept together automatically. Here you mark the pairs that must NOT share a table.
4. The chart
Guest selected - now tap a table to place them, or tap the unseated area to put them back.
5. Print
PDF export and auto-seat are paused until the warnings above are fixed. Nothing is removed silently.
Three steps, no account
Paste from Excel, Google Sheets or your RSVP tool - one guest per line, name, party, dietary. Or upload the CSV.
Drag guests onto tables with a mouse or a finger, or auto-seat with your keep-apart rules. Overfull tables and unseated guests are flagged live.
One click each for the wall chart with A-Z guest lookup, the table cards and the fold-over place cards.
Private by design
A guest list is personal data - family politics included. It never leaves this page: no upload step, no login, no server. Save your work to a .json file on your own computer and close the tab; nothing remains here.
Honest limits
Free: up to 40 guests, PDFs carry a small free-version line. Built-in fonts print basic Latin and many Western European accents (including accented characters like é, ü, ñ); other scripts stop the export with the affected rows named, never silently dropped. Up to 5000 guests and 500 tables per chart in the offline pack. Name200characters, party/dietary120characters each. Long names shrink or wrap; if one still does not fit, it is shortened with an ellipsis and the change is listed. Print at 100% actual size and test one sheet first.
Unlimited guests. Works offline.

Straight answers
Is anything uploaded?
No. The chart is made inside your browser tab. Guest names, parties and dietary notes are never sent anywhere. Save and load use a file on your own computer.
How do the seating rules work?
Guests who share a party name are kept together whenever a table has room for the whole party. Keep-apart rules mark two parties that must not share a table. Auto-seat respects both, and tells you when it cannot: a party that fits nowhere whole is split, with a visible warning, and guests who cannot be seated stay in the unseated area, also with a warning.
What list format does it understand?
One guest per line, comma or tab separated: Name, Party, Dietary. Only the name is required. A header row is detected and skipped. Download the CSV template if you want a starting point.
Can I fix things by hand after auto-seat?
Yes - that is the normal workflow. Auto-seat first, then drag the few people you want to move. Every manual move is checked live: overfull tables turn red, and keep-apart violations and unseated guests are listed as warnings. Undo steps back through your last changes.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Drag with a finger, or tap a guest to select them and tap a table to place them. The chart reflows to one column on narrow screens.
Can it print names in any language?
The built-in PDF fonts cover basic Latin and many Western European accents (including accented characters like é, ü, ñ). Names in other scripts (Hebrew, Arabic, CJK and others) cannot be printed - the tool names the affected rows and stops rather than dropping characters silently.
What does the free version limit?
Up to 40 guests and a small free-version line on each PDF page. The offline pack removes both, for unlimited events.
What paper does it print on?
US Letter or A4. Place cards print four to a sheet and fold in half along the dashed line. Table cards print two to a sheet. Print at 100% actual size and test one sheet first.
