By seating-chart week, the budget is a crime scene. The venue, the caterer and the florist have all been paid, and then the small line items arrive: the seating chart tools want $9 to $30 - per event - for something your computer can already do.
A drag-and-drop chart, a guest list, printed exports. Useful, genuinely. But two things come with the price: the fee repeats for every event, and the guest list - names, family groupings, dietary notes - lives on someone else's server.
Your spreadsheet already holds the list. A browser already runs software. The maker here turns the first into the second's input and prints the chart, the table cards and the place cards, with nothing uploaded and no account. Free for up to 40 guests - enough for most birthdays, showers and small weddings.
Printing. Cardstock for the table cards and place cards is the difference between "printed at home" and "done properly", and a ream of good cardstock costs less than one event on a per-event tool.
Per-event pricing is worst for planners: ten events a year is $90-300 a year, forever, for a tool you already know. A one-time offline pack (in preparation) covers every event at one price, works with no internet at the venue, and keeps every client's guest list on your own machine.
Free, no signup, nothing uploaded.
