Wix Product CSV Checker - preview, not yet tried on a live store

Check your product CSV before Wix rejects it.

Drop in the product CSV you are about to import. You get a row-by-row list of what breaks Wix's published CSV rules: missing names or handleIds, bad prices and discounts, option pairs, inventory values, image links, over-long fields and more. Nothing is uploaded.

Built from Wix's guide to importing products and tested on the CSV template Wix provides. It is not Wix, and passing here does not guarantee the import: your site checks more than this tool can, and image links are not opened. Make a copy of your file before you edit it. Your products are read only by your browser.

One file at a time, up to 40 MB.

Questions

Which columns does it understand?

The columns in Wix's template, such as handleId, fieldType and productOptionName1. Wix says not to add or rename columns, so the tool flags extra ones.

What is the difference between new and update mode?

Both modes run the same checks. The setting is kept for your own reference.

Why are some findings warnings?

Where Wix says to leave a field blank, or gives a format hint, the finding is a warning. A price on a variant row is one example.

Does it change my file?

No. It only reads it. The pack can write a separate list of problems and an annotated copy.

What about text starting with = + - or @?

In the files the pack writes, an apostrophe is put in front, so a spreadsheet does not read it as a formula.
