Turn a Whatnot weekly orders report into monthly earnings and a journal.
Drop in one or many Seller Weekly Orders Reports (CSV). See each month's earnings, refunds, tips and shipping charges from the Transaction Amount column, which Whatnot documents as positive when paid to you and negative when charged. The pack gives you a journal CSV and a net-per-order CSV. Nothing is uploaded.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Whatnot export. Column names come from Whatnot's help page for the Seller Weekly Orders Report, so the tool stops with a message if a needed one is missing. The report covers completed orders, refunds, tips and shipping charges only, not payouts or promotions, so this is not a payout check. Whatnot says the report is not an official document for regulatory reporting.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Amounts come from Transaction Amount, in the Transaction Currency of each row, grouped by the month of Transaction Completed at UTC.
Order Earnings, Order Refund, Tips and Shipping Charge for every month, plus the Order Earnings columns as shown in the file.
The pack writes a balanced journal CSV with an account per transaction type, and adds up every row of each order.
Pay once. Close every month of Whatnot earnings.
- All months in your files instead of the first 3 (counted per currency).
- One journal CSV for the months you have reviewed, with an account for each transaction type that you choose, plus net per order with refunds included.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your sales data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which file do I use?
Log in on whatnot.com, open your seller menu, choose Financials, then the Statements tab, and download the weekly orders report for each week. Each is a CSV. Pick all the weeks you want and drop them together.
Why are there settings?
Number and date styles are not documented, so you tell the tool. Nothing is guessed. Times in the report are UTC, so a month is a UTC month.
Does it match my payouts?
No. Whatnot says payouts, referral bonuses and promotion spend are not in this report. Use the Ledger export for those.
Is the journal entry accounting advice?
No. It is a starting point built from the month's totals and the accounts you type. Your accountant decides how Whatnot earnings are booked. The tool makes no tax or accounting claims.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The file is read on your device.
