Turn a Walmart Recon report into a monthly summary and a payment check.
Drop in your Walmart Marketplace Recon report CSV files. See each month's money in and money out, every Transaction Type and Amount Type listed as written, and the Total Payable on each PaymentSummary row set against the line amounts and against what your bank received. The pack gives you a journal CSV per month. Nothing is uploaded.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Walmart export. Column names come from Walmart's Recon report developer documentation, so the tool stops with a message if a needed one is missing. It does not know which lines Walmart includes in a payment, so every comparison is for you to read, not a verdict. It does not check your Walmart account or your bank.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Each month gets money in, money out and the net movement, from the Amount on each line and the posted date.
Each PaymentSummary row's Total Payable with the period, and a box to type what your bank received. Line amounts in the files are added up and set against the Total Payable.
Transaction Type and Amount Type are shown exactly as written. We do not guess what they mean. In the pack you give each one an account yourself.
Pay once. Work through all your settlements.
- All months and payments in your files instead of the first 3.
- A journal CSV per month that passes the checks, with an account for each line type that you choose, plus CSVs of every line type and every payment with your typed bank amounts.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your Walmart data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which report do I use?
The Recon report in CSV format from Walmart Marketplace (developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/docs/recon-report). The tool needs the columns Transaction Type, Amount Type, Amount, Transaction Posted Timestamp and Total Payable. Rows with the Transaction Type PaymentSummary are read as payments, and every other row as a line. If the file has a Status column, only Settled lines are counted.
Why are there settings?
Number and date styles depend on your account. You tell the tool the currency, the number and date format, how empty amounts are shown, and how many lines come before the header, so nothing is guessed. A row whose currency differs from your setting stops the file.
Does it prove my payment is right?
No. It shows line amounts, Total Payable and your typed bank amount side by side. Which lines Walmart counts into a payment is not checked, so a difference is a reason to look at the rows, not a verdict.
Is the journal entry accounting advice?
No. It is a starting point built from the month's totals and the accounts you type. Your accountant decides how Walmart items are booked. The tool makes no tax or accounting claims.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The files are read on your device.
