Match each Stripe payout to what is inside it.
Drop in the itemized Payout reconciliation CSV from Stripe. See the items for each payout split into sales, refunds, disputes, fees and other, added up into a batch total. When a payout amount is available, the total is compared with it. The pack adds a journal entry for each payout that checks out. Nothing is uploaded.
Supported-format preview: synthetic fixtures only, not verified with a real Stripe export. Automatic payout batches only; manual or instant payouts are not independently reconciled. Compare totals with Stripe and your bank before using a journal.
What it does
Rows are grouped by the automatic payout ID Stripe puts on each row, with a separate unverified group for rows with no payout ID.
Gross sales, refunds, disputes, Stripe fees and other items, from the reporting category and the gross, fee and net columns.
Items are added up into a batch total. If the file has a payout row, or you type the payout amount from Stripe, the two are compared. A difference, an unknown category or mixed dates is flagged and blocks the journal. We never check against your bank.
Pay once. Review the whole batch.
- All loaded payout groups within the file limits, and a journal CSV for each eligible group, with your own account names.
- The free version shows the first 3 payouts.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your Stripe data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which file do I use?
In the Stripe Dashboard open Reports, then Payout reconciliation, and download the Itemized CSV (Stripe's documentation: Payout reconciliation documentation). The tool needs these columns: automatic_payout_id, balance_transaction_id, created (or created_utc), currency, gross, fee, net and reporting_category. For the journal date it also uses automatic_payout_effective_at (or the _utc version). A file without the required ones is rejected with a message. Dates are shown as written in the file and the timezone is not changed.
Is the journal entry accounting advice?
No. It is a starting point built from the payout's totals, with account names you set. Your accountant decides how Stripe sales, fees, refunds and disputes are booked. The tool makes no tax or accounting claims.
Has it been tested on real Stripe files?
No. It was tested only on made-up files built from Stripe's documented columns. Check the totals against your Stripe Dashboard before you rely on them. Amounts must use a decimal point, so set the decimal separator to a period when you download.
What if my file has several currencies?
It is rejected. Download one currency at a time, since each payout is in a single currency.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The file is read on your device.
Format limits: one UTF-8 CSV, 5 MB, 20,000 rows, 2,000 characters per field, amounts up to 100,000,000 per row. Decimal point only; precision depends on the currency. ISK, UGX, HUF and TWD are not supported in this preview because Stripe applies special payout/precision rules. Dates as written, without timezone conversion. Journal CSV includes only payouts whose supplied amount equals the batch total, with known categories and a consistent arrival date. A matched amount is not proof of a bank deposit or correct accounting treatment.
