Check your product CSV before Squarespace rejects it.
Drop in the product CSV you are about to import. You get a row-by-row list of what breaks Squarespace's published CSV rules: missing titles or URL slugs, bad prices and sale prices, option pairs, stock values, image links, over-long fields and more. Nothing is uploaded.
Built from Squarespace's product CSV guide, and tested on the product CSV template Squarespace provides. It is not Squarespace, and passing here does not guarantee the import: your site checks more than this tool can, for example whether a category already exists, and image links are not opened. Make a copy of your file before you edit it. Your products are read only by your browser.
One file at a time, up to 40 MB.
What it checks
Title, Product URL slug, Product Type, Visible, category and tag lengths, and details that belong only on a product's first row.
Option name and value pairs, repeated option combinations, the 250-variant limit, SKU length and stock values.
Price and sale price formats, sale price lower than price, weight and size limits, and image links.

Questions
Which columns does it understand?
The columns in Squarespace's template, such as Product URL, Option Name 1 and Hosted Image URLs. Other columns are listed and left unchecked.
What is the difference between new and update mode?
For a new import, Squarespace says to remove existing Product ID and Variant ID values, so the tool flags them. In update mode it does not.
Why are some findings warnings?
Where Squarespace's guide describes a convention or a rounding step, the finding is a warning. More than 2 price decimals is one example.
Does it change my file?
No. It only reads it. The pack can write a separate list of problems and an annotated copy.
What about text starting with = + - or @?
In the files the pack writes, an apostrophe is put in front, so a spreadsheet does not read it as a formula.
