Record your screen. Nothing uploaded.
Record your whole screen, a window or a browser tab, with your microphone and the sound of the tab if you want it. Pause, stop, watch it back and download the video. There is no sign-in and no watermark, and the video never leaves your device.
How it works
Choose the quality, press Start recording, then pick what to share.
Pause and resume as you like. Stop from here or from the browser's sharing bar.
Watch it back, then save the video file. It stays on your device.
Long recordings. Offline.
- A 3 hour software cap instead of the free 5 minute cap. A 512 MB safety limit and your computer's memory can stop it sooner.
- Includes the recorder in one folder. Local-file screen sharing depends on browser security rules; some browsers need a local HTTPS server. Test before relying on disconnected use.
- Pay once, keep it.
Offline pack in preparation. Not yet for sale.
Questions
Is my screen uploaded?
No. The video is recorded by your browser and kept in this page until you download it. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Can it record computer sound?
Only what your browser and operating system offer in the share window. Enable sound there if available. The page warns when no shared sound track is received. Microphone sound is separate. Real screen/system sound capture and Safari/Firefox are not verified.
What file do I get?
A WebM video in most browsers, or an MP4 where the browser can record MP4. WebM plays in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and VLC. To make an MP4 or a GIF, use our other tools.
Does it work on phones?
Most phone browsers cannot record the screen from a web page. Use the recorder built into your phone.
How long can I record?
The free version stops at 5 minutes. A 512 MB recording safety limit also applies. The video is kept in memory until you download it, so long takes use a lot of memory. The 5 minute and 3 hour caps are software limits, not verified continuous recording durations. Pick a lower quality for long takes.
What if I close the tab?
The recording is lost. Download it before you close the page.
What does it not do?
No webcam overlay, no drawing, no editing or trimming. The seek bar in some players may not work on WebM files from a browser recorder. Stopping screen sharing ends the take. Sleep or browser interruption can stop or damage a recording; check the saved file.
