Turn a Reverb earnings export into monthly totals and a journal.
Drop in your Reverb earnings export (CSV). Each order is checked: Sale Price plus the fee, tax and Applied Bucks columns must equal Total in Sale Currency. See each month's sales, every fee and total, by Sale Currency, with Total Payout beside it. The pack gives you a journal CSV and an orders CSV. Nothing is uploaded.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Reverb export. Column names come from Reverb's help page for the earnings export, so the tool stops with a message if a needed one is missing. Reverb does not document how the columns combine or how costs are signed, so you choose the sign, and a month whose orders do not add up to Total in Sale Currency gets no journal. This is not a payout check.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Each order is tested: Sale Price plus the fee, tax and Applied Bucks columns equals Total in Sale Currency. Orders that do not are counted and shown on the month.
Sale Price, every fee column and the total for each month and Sale Currency, with Total Payout in the Payout Currency.
The pack writes a balanced journal CSV for months where every order adds up, and an orders CSV.
Pay once. Close every month of Reverb sales.
- All months in your files instead of the first 3 (counted per currency).
- One journal CSV for the months that pass the checks, with an account for each amount group that you choose, plus an orders CSV.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your sales data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which file do I use?
On Reverb, go to your Earnings page. Select payout dates and click Export, or pick a time period and click Export, and Reverb emails you the CSV. Drop one or several files here.
Why are there settings?
Number and date styles and the sign of cost columns are not documented, so you tell the tool. The row check then confirms your choice fits. Nothing is guessed.
What if some orders do not add up?
Reverb does not publish how Sale Price, fees, tax and Applied Bucks combine into the total. If your orders do not add up with your settings, the month shows how many, and no journal is made for it. Nothing is forced to balance.
Is the journal entry accounting advice?
No. It is a starting point built from the month's totals and the accounts you type. Your accountant decides how Reverb sales are booked. The tool makes no tax or accounting claims.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The file is read on your device.
