Make an iPhone video smaller on your computer

iPhone videos get large quickly. Copy the file to your computer, then shrink it before you email or share it.

Steps

1. Copy the video to your computer.
2. Open the Video Compressor and choose the .mov or .mp4.
3. Choose 720p and Balanced, or type a size in MB.
4. Press Compress and download the MP4.

HEVC note

Newer iPhones can record in HEVC (H.265). Whether your browser can open those depends on your browser and computer. If it cannot, the tool says so. Videos saved as "Most Compatible" on the iPhone use H.264 and work.
