Mercari Sales Summary - preview, not yet checked on real exports

Turn a Mercari sales report into monthly net proceeds and a journal.

Drop in the Sales report CSV (Gross Sales Report) from your Seller dashboard. Every Completed order is checked: Net Seller Proceeds must equal Item Price less seller-paid shipping and Mercari fees. See each month's item sales, fees and net proceeds. The pack gives you a journal CSV and an orders CSV. Nothing is uploaded.

Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Mercari export. Column names come from Mercari's help page for the Gross Sales Report, so the tool stops with a message if a needed one is missing. Only Completed orders are counted. Mercari does not say how its cost columns are signed, so you choose the sign below. Mercari documents Net Seller Proceeds as Item Price less seller-paid shipping and the Mercari selling, payment processing and shipping adjustment fees. Buyer shipping is paid separately and is not part of it. Every row must add up.

Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.

What it does

Check

Each Completed order must add up: Item Price less seller-paid shipping and fee columns equals Net Seller Proceeds. A row that does not stops the file with its row number.

Summarize

Item sales, shipping, each fee and net proceeds for every month of Completed Date.

Hand over

The pack writes a balanced journal CSV and an orders CSV.

Questions

Which file do I use?

In your Mercari Seller dashboard, click Sales report, choose a start and end date, and click Generate report. A CSV named like Custom-sales-report is downloaded. Drop that file here.

Why are there settings?

Number and date styles, the sign of the cost columns is not documented, so you tell the tool. The row check then confirms your choices fit every order. Nothing is guessed.

Which orders are counted?

Only orders with Order Status Completed, by Completed Date. Canceled and In Progress orders are left out and counted in a note.

Is the journal entry accounting advice?

No. It is a starting point built from the month's totals and the accounts you type. Your accountant decides how Mercari sales are booked. The tool makes no tax or accounting claims.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The file is read on your device.
