JOB-AD MATCHER GUIDE
ATS keywords, without the mystique.
Employers' software helps them search and filter resumes, partly by the words used. Matching the ad's honest vocabulary helps both software and humans find you.
What the software really does
Most systems store your resume as text and let recruiters search it. Some rank by overlap with the job description. There is no single universal "ATS score", and any tool that sells one is selling its own invention.
What to do instead
Paste the ad and your resume into the matcher. Look at the missing terms and add the ones that are genuinely true, using the ad's own wording. If the ad says "Salesforce", write "Salesforce", not "CRM platforms".
Keep it honest
Keywords you cannot back up in an interview do damage later. Use the missing list as a mirror of what the employer cares about, not as a stuffing recipe.
No guarantee of interviews, job offers or ATS scores.
