Turn GoCardless payout breakdown CSVs into totals per payout, type and status.
Drop in the payout breakdown transactions CSVs you export from GoCardless. See each payout by resource type and status: gross amount, GoCardless fees, app fees, surcharge fees, tax and net amount, added up exactly as written. The pack adds a rows CSV and a payout totals CSV. Nothing is uploaded.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real GoCardless export. Column names come from GoCardless's support article on the Payout breakdown transactions report. That article does not document a date layout or a number format, so you choose them. It also documents no formula tying gross_amount, fees and net_amount together and no sign rule for refunds, so nothing is checked and amounts are summed as written. Customer names, emails, descriptions, references and metadata are never read. This is not tax advice.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Finds the documented columns by header name and checks the arrival dates, currencies and every amount. A bad row stops the file with its row number.
Gross amount, GoCardless fees, app fees, surcharge fees, tax and net amount for each payout, split by resource type and status.
The pack adds a rows CSV and a payout totals CSV you can open in any spreadsheet.
Pay once. Summarize every GoCardless payout.
- All payouts in your files instead of the first 3.
- A rows CSV and a payout totals CSV, ready for your spreadsheet.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your GoCardless data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which file do I use?
In the GoCardless dashboard, open Payments, then Payouts. Open one payout and choose Payout breakdown, Export Transactions, or use Payout Reconciliation to export several payouts. Drop one or many.
Why are there settings?
GoCardless documents the columns but not the date layout or number format, so you tell the tool. Nothing is guessed. Currency comes from the file, so each currency is kept apart.
Why no checks?
GoCardless explains each column but publishes no formula tying gross_amount, fees and net_amount together, and no sign rule for refunds. So the tool adds each column as written.
What counts as a repeat?
The same payouts.id, resources.type, payments.id and refunds.id when the file has them. Repeats are counted, not removed, and the downloads wait until you tick the box.
