Turn a Faire payouts export into monthly totals, commission and fees.
Drop in your Payouts CSV from Faire, from a North American brand account or one outside North America. See each payout month by currency: order totals, commission, fees, shipping costs and the payout. The pack adds an orders CSV and a by-retailer CSV. Nothing is uploaded.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Faire export. Column names come from Faire's two help pages for the payouts CSV (North America and outside North America), so the tool stops with a message if a needed one is missing. Faire does not publish how the columns add up to the payout, so nothing is checked against a formula and amounts are summed exactly as written. Dates are not documented, so you choose the style. This is not tax advice.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Checks the Faire payouts CSV columns (both the North America layout with New Customer Fee and Insider shipping, and the outside-North-America layout with Placement Fee and ACH Next Day Fee), the currency codes, the dates and every amount. A bad row stops the file with its row number.
Order totals, commission, fees, taxes, shipping costs, promotions and payout for every payout month and currency, exactly as written in the file. Rows with no payout date yet are counted apart.
The pack adds an orders CSV and a by-retailer CSV you can open in any spreadsheet.
Pay once. Summarize every Faire payout month.
- All payout months in your files instead of the first 3 (counted per currency).
- An orders CSV and a by-retailer CSV, ready for your spreadsheet.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your Faire data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which file do I use?
On Faire, open the Payouts page, choose Export, pick a date range and select Export CSV. Large exports can take a few hours and Faire also emails the file. Both the North America and the outside-North-America layouts work. Do not load one of each in the same drop; the tool asks you to keep them apart.
Why are there settings?
Number and date styles are not documented, so you tell the tool. Nothing is guessed.
Why is there no payout check?
Faire lists the columns but does not publish a formula that ties them to the payout, and it does not say which amounts are shown as negatives. So the tool adds each column as written and shows Order Total less Payout Amount as plain subtraction, not as a fee figure.
What about orders with no payout date?
Faire shows Unknown for some preorders until they ship. Those rows are counted apart and left out of the monthly totals.
