Turn a CSV of payments into a SEPA credit transfer XML file.
Drop in a CSV with creditor name, IBAN, amount and reference. Every IBAN and amount is checked, you see the total, and you get a pain.001.001.03 XML file to upload to your bank. Nothing is uploaded from this page.
The XML layout follows ISO 20022 pain.001.001.03 and was compared with a published sample file. It has not been tried with a live bank, and banks differ in what they accept, so check the total and the payments in your bank's upload screen before you approve anything. IBANs are checked for structure and check digits only: that does not show an account exists. All payments are in EUR. This is not payment, tax or legal advice.
1. Your details (the payer)
2. Your payments file
Set these to match your file before you drop it. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 1,000 payments per file.
What it does
Finds the columns by header name. Each row's IBAN, amount and text is checked. A bad row stops the file with its row number.
You see every payment and the total. Names and references must use the basic SEPA character set. Nothing is changed for you.

Questions
Which format is the file?
ISO 20022 pain.001.001.03, the customer credit transfer initiation message, with the SEPA service level. Payer and payment counts and control sums are written the way published sample files do.
Why did it refuse my name or reference?
The tool only accepts the basic SEPA character set: letters a-z and A-Z, digits, / - ? : ( ) . , ' + and a space. Accented letters and symbols such as & are not changed for you. Edit them in your file so you decide what the payee sees.
Do I need a BIC?
It is optional here. If your bank asks for a BIC, add it in the BIC fields. Without one, the payer BIC is written as NOTPROVIDED and the creditor agent is left out.
Does a passing IBAN mean the account exists?
No. The check only tests the IBAN's structure and check digits, which catches typing mistakes. It cannot tell whether the account exists or belongs to the name.
Why do I have to tick a box?
The file moves money once your bank approves it. The box makes you look at the total and the payments first.
