Video Compressor
Compress a video to fit an email attachment
Email services and chat apps limit attachment size, and the limits differ and change. Check the current limit of the service you use, then set the Video Compressor to a little under it.
Steps
- Open the Video Compressor and choose the video.
- Under "What matters most" choose "Hit a target file size" and type the size in MB.
- Lowering the largest size to 720p or 480p helps when the target is small.
- Press Compress, check the preview and download.
What to expect
The tool aims a bit under the size you type. Real results land within some percent of it. If the file is still over the limit, type a smaller size and run it again. A long video squeezed into a very small size looks soft, so trimming first often helps more.
Free version: up to 5 minutes of video (files up to 500 MB) per run. The planned offline pack removes those limits. It is not yet for sale.
