App Store Financial Summary - preview, not yet checked on real exports

Turn App Store Connect financial reports into proceeds per fiscal period, currency and product.

Drop in the financial report files from App Store Connect, zipped or not. See each fiscal period and currency by product and Sale or Return: quantity and Extended Partner Share, added up exactly as written. The pack adds a rows CSV and a period totals CSV. Nothing is uploaded.

Tested only on made-up files, never on a real App Store Connect report. Apple publishes the column list but no sample file. Column names and the MM/DD/YYYY date layout come from Apple's financial report fields page. Nothing is checked against your payment and amounts are summed as written. Developer and vendor names are never read. This is not tax advice.

Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.

Drop your App Store financial report here, or click to chooseThe tab-delimited file from Payments and Financial Reports, or the .gz Apple sends. Several files at once are fine.

What it does

Read

Finds the documented columns by header name and checks the dates, currencies and every amount. A bad row stops the file with its row number.

Summarize

Rows, quantity and Extended Partner Share for each period and currency, split by product and Sale or Return.

Hand over

The pack adds a rows CSV and a period totals CSV you can open in any spreadsheet.

Questions

Which file do I use?

The financial report from Payments and Financial Reports in App Store Connect. Apple's field list covers the All Countries or Regions report (single or multiple files) and the Detailed report. Both are read. Apple sends the file as a .gz text file with tab-separated columns; the tool opens it as it is, or you can unzip it first.

Which dates does it accept?

MM/DD/YYYY, as Apple documents for Start Date, End Date, Transaction Date and Settlement Date. Other layouts stop with the row number.

Why no checks?

Apple documents Quantity and Extended Partner Share as positive or negative and gives no tie to your payment, so the tool adds each column as written, splits Sale (S) from Return (R) and never adds different currencies together.

What counts as a repeat?

A row that is identical to an earlier row in every column. Repeats are counted, not removed, and the downloads wait until you tick the box.
