Turn an Afterpay settlement CSV into totals per settlement date and type.
Drop in the settlement CSVs you export from the Afterpay Business Hub. See each settlement date by Type: settlement amount, merchant fee excluding tax, fee tax, fee including tax and net settlement amount, added up exactly as written. The pack adds a rows CSV and a settlement dates CSV. Nothing is uploaded.
Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Afterpay export. Column names and date layouts come from Afterpay's Settlement reports documentation. The file has no currency column, so you choose the currency, and Afterpay writes the Settlement Date differently by region, so you choose that too. Afterpay documents no formula tying the amount and fee columns together (its own example fees do not add up exactly) and no sign rule for refunds, so nothing is checked and amounts are summed as written. Consumer details are never read. This is not tax advice.
Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.
What it does
Finds the documented columns by header name and checks the settlement dates and every amount. A bad row stops the file with its row number.
Settlement amount, fee excluding tax, fee tax, fee including tax and net settlement amount for each settlement date, split by Type.
The pack adds a rows CSV and a settlement dates CSV you can open in any spreadsheet.
Pay once. Summarize every Afterpay settlement.
- All settlement dates in your files instead of the first 3.
- A rows CSV and a settlement dates CSV, ready for your spreadsheet.
- One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your Afterpay data stays on your computer.
Questions
Which file do I use?
In the Afterpay Business Hub, open the Reconciliation tab and use Settlement Export. Drop one or many.
Why do I choose the currency and date layout?
The documented fields include no currency column, and Afterpay writes the Settlement Date as 25-Jun-19 in AU/NZ, 25/06/2019 for UK Clearpay and 06/25/2019 for CA. Nothing is guessed, so you tell the tool.
Why no checks?
Afterpay documents the fields but no formula tying them together, and its own example fee figures do not add up exactly. So the tool adds each column as written and does not decide what a row means.
What counts as a repeat?
The same Afterpay Order ID, Type, Afterpay Refund ID (when the file has one) and settlement date. Repeats are counted, not removed, and the downloads wait until you tick the box.
