Adyen Settlement Details Summary - preview, not yet checked on real exports

Turn an Adyen Settlement details CSV into totals per batch, type and payment method.

Drop in the Settlement details CSVs you generate in Adyen. See each batch by Type and payment method: gross and net debits and credits plus commission, markup, scheme fees and interchange, added up exactly as written. The pack adds a rows CSV and a batch totals CSV. Nothing is uploaded.

Tested only on made-up files, never on a real Adyen report. Column names and the YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS date come from Adyen's Settlement details report documentation. Adyen says a report can have extra or reordered columns, so the tool finds columns by header name and needs the header line. Adyen does not say a batch nets to zero, so nothing is checked and amounts are summed as written. Merchant references, shopper references and company names are never read. This is not tax advice.

Set these to match your files before you drop them. Nothing is guessed. Limits: 20 files, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total, 60,000 rows per file and 300,000 in total.

What it does

Read

Finds the documented columns by header name and checks the dates, currencies and every amount. A bad row stops the file with its row number.

Summarize

Gross and net debits and credits and the fee columns for each merchant account and batch, split by Type, payment method and currency.

Hand over

The pack adds a rows CSV and a batch totals CSV you can open in any spreadsheet.

Offline pack

Pay once. Summarize every Adyen batch.

  • All batches in your files instead of the first 3.
  • A rows CSV and a batch totals CSV, ready for your spreadsheet.
  • One folder that opens in your browser with no internet. Your Adyen data stays on your computer.

Questions

Which file do I use?

In your Adyen Customer Area, open Reports, then Settlement details, and generate or download the report as CSV (TSV also works with the Delimiter setting). Drop one or many.

What if my report has different columns?

Adyen says a report can include extra columns or a changed order. The tool finds columns by name, so order does not matter. It stops and lists any required column that is missing. The fee columns it shows are the ones present in your file.

What about older files?

Adyen documents the date as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. Adyen's older sample report leaves the seconds off, and the tool accepts that. Rows with an empty Creation Date are counted apart under "(no date)". Any other date layout stops with the row number.

Why are there settings?

Number style, delimiter and text encoding are not declared by the file, so you tell the tool. Nothing is guessed.

Why no checks?

Adyen documents the debit and credit columns but not that a batch nets to zero or ties to a payout. The tool adds each column as written and never adds amounts in different currencies together.
